Kurdiji 1.0 is not far off…

Hi everyone, it’s been a while since we’ve posted anything. Since then we’ve been spending a lot of time in and out of community putting this app together. Wanta Jampijinpa Pawu-Kurlpurlurnu has spent a month or so in Canberra with us creating content and helping us express Warlpiri ideas around resilience. The next steps are to formalise copyright clearance for the videos of ceremony we are using and to take the whole app back up to Lajamanu to get approval from the council of elders. Only then can we make the app public. Every single piece of content for this app, without exception, was provided by Warlpiri people for the benefit of others. It is entirely drawn from centuries of Indigenous philosophical heritage and does not include a single sentence of non-indigenous thought. We’re not there yet, but we’ll be posting updates every few weeks now until we have a launch date. In the meantime, here is the new front page!kurdiji update
